I first started out, as most do, assisting other photographers on photo assignments. I worked mostly in the hospitality industry and with several travel publications. Aside from assisting, I was also sidelining as a makeup artist and offering styling for an assortment of projects such as editorials for fashion designers to styling hotels, villas, and resorts for their marketing materials. that began over 5 years ago.

For years I've been striving to be able to call myself a photographer as opposed to an assistant. I think you really start to develop confidence and begin to feel that way once you understand your purpose and what draws you into taking a photo; as everyones approach is as different as their reasons. This is why it's so important to trust your instincts along with the technicalities to achieve the desired results. Also, being published has helped me in aquiring that sense of acknowlegement.

As much as it is a career choice, I think as soon as it starts to feel like unenjoyable work then that's when I need to throw in the towel because for me it's a passion, and I experience such a thrill in getting "the shot". It's something vital to attain beautiful imagery. Technical perfection is only half of the work involved in achieving unforgetable images. As soon as a photographer loses the lustre, the whole reason and drive behind getting into photography meets a dire end. My love of photography is still in the blooming romance phase of what I suspect to be the start of a long lasting affair.

My current portfolio consists of some of my travels throughout the world, both on assignment and off. Please take a moment to review it and if you would like to discuss a specific project feel free to email me with details.

Thanks for visiting!
